Long Weekend

Had an extra long weekend, as I decided to go to full day Friday to the Unite in Worship conference. Awesome workshops by both Terry Neudorf and Phil Dooley. Ended the night off with an awesome worship plus powerful message by Phil. Had a chance to talk to Phil Dooley after one of his workshops, and got to share a few things with him. Great guy with a heart for God, and a passion for empowering students and youths to do ministry. Also had a chat with Joel Houston in the congress centre lobby after his sound check. Got him to share a bit how God led him to what he's doing right now, and how it was being a pastor's kid especially with a big church like Hillsong.

Random Thoughts:
Was talking to a friend over the weekend, and an interesting point was brought up. You know how sometimes you have people that cares for you, and you know they genuinely cares for you, and that’s great, kudos for finding such a friend, the world needs more of them. But also there are times when you just know that the person is only pretending to care for you. Please take off your mask, save your time and the person's time, and get on with life. While there are those two types, you also get this one where one person will only show their thoughtfulness in an attempt to win someone's heart. And on the flip side of the coin, you always have people who are short-sighted chasing other things in life (example: a hot guy/girl) to neglect their friends who have been there through the ups and downs. Even pretending to go to sleep or go to work so they can concentrate on the other person. Quoting my friend "People change, circumstances change, attitudes change."

Sports Thoughts:
Going to be short. Great game between Rimouski and London, best hockey game I've watched all year, great to see London bounce back after struggling first period, that is your finals for the memorial cup......Still upset over Glazer taking over Man Utd., I honestly do not know how the UK's Securities Exchange Commission can allow several hundred million of debt be written onto a corporation books, end of the Red Devil's era is fast approaching......Hoping Joe Johnson will be back soon......Wade struggled in game one, will see how he plays in game 2
