I ran this town

Lining up with Simon Whitfield at the start of the 10K run was pretty cool. The coolness lasted like 1 minute when I got dusted, but still, starting a run with an olympic gold medalist was cool enough...So finished in around 50 minutes or so, don't remember exact time. Not bad considering I was aiming for under an hour since I haven't trained at all. The rain before/during the run didn't help either, but at least it wasn't pouring during the run. If I do run in something like this again, I think I'm going to try and train for it.

Formal 05:
Evening went pretty much as expected, except Kelvin getting his first kissES (by man and woman) in the same night. Limo ride was cramped, but it was limo regardless. Arrived at Liberty Grand, looks the same as it looked last time I was there. Massive picture taking leading into dinner. Crappy food as expected, mass cooking, whatever, didn't expect anything good anyway. More pictures, slideshow, dance, etc etc. Went pretty much the way things are expected to go. Awesome to see everyone all dressed up and stuff. Now formal is over, kind of a signal of the beginning of preparation for exams, and then off to university. 4 years of HS over, flew by like it was yesterday when we all first walked through the halls of Campbell. Getting lost going to all our classes. Now we will all go our seperate ways, many will not meet again, while some will crossed paths. Never-the-less, fun times will always be remembered.

Sports Thoughts:
London Knights, Memorial Cup champion, amazing how they shut down the most powerful offence in the form of the Rimouski Oceanics in the finals...What a season by both teams, watching the mem.cup makes me not even miss the NHL...Doc Halladay, another near flawless performance, looks like he's back in his CY Young form of '03...My wildest dream could not have dreamt of having the Suns high-power offence completely shut down by the Spurs, great defensive play by Tony Parker in shutting down the QB of the Suns offence. Spurs have too many weapons, with no drop off when their second string players come in, while the Suns rely too heavily on Kid Canada, hopefully Sun can win the next one or two to at least avoid the sweep. Spurs will be hard to in the finals against either Miami or Detroit
