The Leafs is not that bad

ok...i've had it! i've spent the the last 30 minutes reading articles with pure leafs bashing. from their defensive zone coverage to their lack of offence. i must admitt, the leafs offence haven't played to the standard expected from a team with so many quality players, and their defence could be doing a better job, but the truth is that everything is not as bad as it seems. the leafs might've been outshot 46-28, but how many of those shots have been legitimate scoring chances? the leafs defence have done a great job making sure eddie belfour see the shots all the way, clearing the traffic from the shooting lane, and keeping the shooters outside in the perimeter. most of the shots that was fired at eddie were either from the point with no traffic, or weak shots from the outside. the real chances the sens generate from those 46 shots could be counted on two hands. people also saw the leafs running around in their own zone, at time having trouble clearing the zone, and seeing ottawa continue to dump it in deep and send a two-man forecheck, with a third man waiting at the blue line. yes, the leafs did have trouble clearing the zone, often having pressure in their own for over a minute before it is cleared, but most of the time occured with the puck along the boards, with 2-4 players trying to dig it out, not effectively creating legitimate scoring chances. i really think people need to give the leafs defence more credit than they are getting right now. look at their penalty killing, the sens have had trouble generating any sustainable pressure on their powerplay this series. the leafs defence have shut-down one of the top powerplay team in the regular season. now i know, there is always room for improvement, but things are not as bad as they seem. but then again, the could be worse.

ok fine, i was wrong. the leafs lost game 6 n now the sens are coming back to this side of the 401 for the final battle. game 7, leafs 3-1.

Battle of Ontario

sitting here in front of my computer during the second intermission of game 6 between the Leafs and Sens, i began pondering if the series is living up to the hype generated by the media. the leafs haven't played particularly well this entire series, being out-shot, out-chanced, and pretty much out-played by the sens the entire series thus far, and somehow the sens have been shut-out three times by the leafs. with the leafs up 1-0 at this point of the game, i see this game going two ways. either the sens forces a game 7, or the leafs win in 6 and have just defeated an already defeated opponent. if the leafs win, it will all be about beating up a team they have defeated 3 of the last four years, it will be no big deal because........(fill in the blank) should ottawa come back, tie the series and force it go game 7, where the team live up to alfie's promise, it will simply be a team getting what they deserve for out-playing their opponent for the entire series. don't mistaken what i'm saying here, both teams have played good hockey, old fashion end-to-end rushes, not the boring trap that we have seen from the devils in recent years. i just feel that regardless the outcome of this series, media and fans alike will somehow pick out the negative of this series. while many predicted the winner of the series to go on to represent the east in the stanley cup finals, watching all but one game thus far caused me to think twice about these predictions. the leafs haven't played a solid game for the full 60 minutes so far, at times struggling to get the puck out of their own zone, while the high-powered sens offence have been blanked 3 times so far. it makes me wonder if they can survive into the finals. with either the flyers or the bolts waiting to play the winner of this series, it certainly will not get any easier for the winner of this series. the bolts have proven themselves to be a force with their 5 game victory over the isles, while the flyers have showed their goltending problems are behind them with esche stepping up to defeat the devils. either the bolts speed game or the flyers physical game will be next for either the leafs or the sens, and whoever they face, the ontario teams must step up their game to the next level. the leafs must be more agressive on the forecheck, maintain good pressure in the opponent's zone, and most of all get the puck out of their zone. if the sens somehow defeat all the odds against them and defeat the leafs (high unlikely), they must take the offence to the next level, for a team to get shut-out three time in a series (i predict the final leafs win will also be a shut-out) when their offence was #1 in the league in the regular season is inexcusable. bondra has been held pointless, and he must step up his play. the entire sens offence must step up.

ok, third period starting, so my prediction, leafs 2-0 in game 6...montreal will beat boston (yes, i know i predicted boston to win in 6, but the way montreal is playing lately, i changed my mind) 4-2 on monday.
leafs will play flyers next round
and finally, flames and canucks, what a game that was, too bad one of these teams have to go out. it was one of the most entertaining games i've seen for awhile. end-to-end rushes, heavy checks, just great hockey. for those who missed it, you missed out on a great game. flames will win 3-1 on monday.

wow...laser quest was fun...great to see everyone again...

so anyways, here is my little short thing on the leafs/sens again. yeah, the leafs won 2-0 tonight, and now they're leading 2-1 in the series, but i still worry about their chances further into the playoffs. let's see, where should i start. first, with the age of alot of leafs players, plus the punishment they've been receiving so far in the series against the sens, i worry some of their bodies will start going down later on in the playoffs. second, they have been relying too much on eddie. once again the sens got over 30 shots in one game, outshootiing the leafs, and outchancing the leafs. the leafs defence haven't been solid in front of him, they haven't been clearing the zone against the sens forecheck. they've had trouble winning the battles along the boards, giving sens point shots after point shots on eddie. sooner or later they will find a way to get a puck by him. let see, the faceoffs. ok, i don't know if this will be problem for them this playoff, but it was hard to sit there and watch the leafs centres lose faceoffs in their own end and thus giving the sens clean shots at the net. what else is there...hmm...oh...the leafs have had trouble generating offence on the ottawa defence, they have had trouble sustaining constant pressure on the sens defence by forechecking and keeping the puck deep in the ottawa zone. it seems as though once the puck enters the sens end, it comes right now. i think thats all for the negative, i think i'm gonna at least say some good things about the leafs. its great to see eddie once again standing on his head, stopping everything that the sens are throwing at him. also great to see mats finally scoring a goal. it must've been frustrating stepping on the ice each shift and having a 6-5 guy as your shadow, but he's the superstar, and he will be expected to deliver despite the circumstances that he's facing. and finally...my prediction still remains the same. leafs in 6

Regionals tmr...all the pressure

I don't know, been thinking over my fearless predictions today at school. Out of the time I spent sleeping in class, and yes, I fell asleep in all my classes today, I got the gut feeling that the Isles is going to make their series interesting, maybe even an up-set. But I stand-by what I wrote, and we'll see what happens.

The Jays started their season, somehow I think that they will not be as hyped up as they are right now. Yes they have improved, but they haven't improved enough to win the 100 games required to win their division, nor will they win the 90-95 games predicted by their manager, Carlos Tosca. Speaking of Carlose Tosca, he's one great man off the field. Sign autographs for fans of all ages as his time permits, just connecting with the fans. Speaking of nice players, Chris Woodward is one of the best when speaking of connecting with fans. Similar to Cal Ripken Jr, Chris often go out of his way to provide the fans with what they ask for. I seriously hope that his on-field performance will continue to improve, because he's a complete gentleman off the field. Anyways, back to the season. Even with the addition of Batista, Hentgen, and Lilly, the Jays are still lacking a couple pieces of the puzzle to become serioius contenders for the East Division. That is made especially hard when the Yanks lost Boone, and turned around and took the best player in the game in A'Rod. The Yanks still need another quality starter, does the name Randy Johnson in pinstrip strike fear in anyone's mind. With George's unlimited budget, that possibility is not as far-fetched as it seems at this point. Matching the Yanks, Boston kept its offence intacted, and added a quality closer in Keith Foulke, and one of the best pitchers in the game in Curt Schilling. If Petro can stay healthy for the year, I would not want to face Boston with Petro one game followed by Curt the next game. I'm sure the Jays can tell you how hard it will be this weekend when it will be Halladay/Martinez on Sautrday (April 10) and then Batista/Schilling on Sunday (April 11). With the improvements made by the top 2 teams in their Division, the Jays will also need to worry about the O's. With addition of Tejada and Lopez in the off-season, it will definitely improve their team's offensive ability. Adding Sidney Ponson will definitely aid their pitching staff, but one good pitcher will not carry their team. They will be competitive this year, but they will lose many high scoring games this year simply because they're still lacking quality starters and relievers. Even the Tampa Bay Devil Rays made improvement in the off-season, but it will not be enough to catapult them out of the basement in the East. Anyways, my prediction. Yanks, Bo Sox, Jays, O's, D'Rays. The same standing at the end of the season for the past 5 seasons. Jays will contend for awhile, and even playing meaningful games in September, but they will remain at around 85-90 wins. 10 games out of the Wild Card.

I know today was suppose to be the West, but that can wait until tomorrow night.

Its PLAYOFFS time

Ok, if you didn't know already, I'm like a complete hockey (Leafs to be exact) freak. Here are my fearless predictions of the first round, wonder how many I will get right.

Eastern Conference
(1) Tampa Bay Lightning vs. (8) New York Islanders
Even though it seems like a no-brainer, the Isles have been playing good hockey as of late.
Bolts in 7

(2) Boston Bruins vs. (7) Montreal Canadians
Bruins played well on the final game against the Devils to clinch the division. Their playoff success still remains a question-mark, due to the injury to Thorton. Habs have struggled in the stretch run.
Bruins in 6

(3) Philadelphia Flyers vs. (6) New Jersey Devils
Every year, its the same story with the Flyers, their goalies. I think you all remember what happened to Cechmanek last year, and this year its either Esche or Burke. Esche has struggled lately, and Burke has yet to prove himself in the playoffs. Advantage goes to the Devils in goaltending simply because of Brodeur.
Devils in 6

(4) Toronto Maple Leafs vs. (5) Ottawa Senators
What kind of stupid law is that the Ottawa city council made?! Banning all Leafs sweaters from the Corel Centre or punishment is donation to the food bank. Its all good though, 10 tonnes of food collected from the April3rd game alone. Anyways, back to the series. Every game will be like an away game for the Senaturds. Somehow there are always more Leafs fan, or 50/50 at the Corel Centre when the Leafs are playing the Sens, and no doubt it'll be a sea of blue and white down in the ACC. History is on the Leafs side in this series, with wins in 2000, 2001, 2002. Sens are a much improved team from even the beginning of the season with addition of Greg de Vries and Peter Bondra. Their offence is pretty much on even grounds with the Leafs, but I must give the edge to Ottawa simply because they were the #1 offensive team in the regular season. I'll also give a slight edge to Ottawa for the blue line. They have 2 elite d-man in Chara and Redden, de Vries, Phillips, Leschyshyn, and Simpson rounding out their 6. While the Leafs have a legitimate top 4 with Leetch, McCabe, Karbele and Johansson, their 5th and 6th defencemen remains a question-mark. When Ken Klee returns, he'll definitely be in the mix. Behind him, Berg has struggled, same with Pilar. Berehowsky haven't got much work in lately. So the edge also go to Ottawa. And finally, goalie. With 2 shut-outs in the last 2 games, definitely Eddie "The Eagle" Belfour is hot. As long as his back holds, the Leafs will go as far as Eddie takes them. While the situation in the Nation's Capital might not be as bright. With Lalime out for the past couple of weeks, Prusek haven't been consistent in net for the Sens. He has his good games, and his bad games. They say Lalime is ready to go by game 1, but I'm unsure if he'll be ready, just simply getting his timing back, and also how his injury affects him. Even if Lalime is at 100%. He haven't proven himself to be able to carry a team on his back. He has impressed with his previous playoff series, but he has yet to prove to be a solid playoff goalie. The edge goes to the blue and white. Even though Ottawa has the edge both on the offence and on the blue-line, the Leafs are not far behind. The experience some of the Leafs bring are priceless, especially their experiences in big games. With Ottawa playing every game almost like an away game, Toronto definitely has the home-ice advantage. This series will not only be decided on the play of star players, but also how the goalies perform. Experiences from the veterans on Toronto will bring the blue and white into the second round.

Western Conference coming tomorrow =)

I couldn't have worded this better myself, so I have just copy + pasted the entire blog from Jeffoo, so read it and you'll know how i feel.

"So I overreacted.

I'm sorry.

I did not mean to appear like an insensitive prick.

Though I was indeed trying to get work done.

And I had a lot on my plate.

Yeah okay, I will get it done, but work with me here, by helping me, we can acheive things, but you chose to perhaps follow this little trend.

I'm not saying that everyone's just doing things because other people are doing it.

But this is just how this world works, doesn't it?

The media makes things much bigger than they seem.

I'm not saying that Cecilia's situation was not tragic.

My deepest sympathies goes out to those close to her and those who know her and those who were affected by this.

Now, I went out for dinner.

Before, everything was as usual.

I came back, opened up yahoo, saw the news article about how they found the "remains".

Made me sick to my stomach.

Shocked at what humans are capable of doing.

Now what's this whole "put an X to your name in memory"?

Then what's this whole "put C instead of X because X means anti-semetic?"

It can mean whatever people want it to mean. A sign of respect, a sign of discrimination, whatever. You don't go telling people to do things. People can be sympathizing on their own.

Now suddenly this whole thing becomes a whole game to them. A whole freaking joke to them. Turned this whole thing into a game of "my letter has more meaning than your letter".

Oh boo hoo, get a hobby, you don't turn a tragedy into a joke.

"We don't need X or C! Come join WP! It stands for 'we're prayin''"

Is this a game for you? Are we making teams now?

I really hope the starters of X, C, and WP, and any other letters out there that haven't reached this side of earth yet didn't have the intention of going "Whoohoo, I created a trend!"

"Where's your respect?"

Where's your sincerity?

Is it.. necessary to become angry with one when they don't join your silly little clan?

Now firstly, that's where they've got it wrong. It's not a freaking clan. Got it? Your thoughts and attitudes towards this matter is your own, your own thoughts, your own feelings. NOT ANYBODY ELSE'S, only yours. What, you think people will applaud you if you conform to their needs? Well, they actually do. That's what this world comes to. But whatever, we're just a bunch of goonies running around, being slave to groups that seperate people from people.

Secondly, who are you trying to impress with your little badge of belonging? Oh wait, everyone. They're so amused by the fact that you're a SOMEBODY.

But I do applaud those who are sincerely showing Cecilia and family their condolences.

World is indeed sick.

And it's also pathetic.

Like it says in some blogs I've seen tonight...

Come, Lord Jesus, Come."

Start of my own stuff:
I mean what does it matter if its X, C, or whatever letter you choose to have it. Are you truely doing this to have people see your name and say "wow, this person has heart", or are you doing it to truely remember the loss of an innocent life. I'm not trying to say that everyone who has the C or the X or the WP or whatever is like that. I know there are people out there who truely puts the letter infront of their names to truely mark it as a reminder to them of what happened, and I admitt, I was one of those who had a letter in front of my name. What annoyed me was the people fighting over what to use and what not to use or just forcing people to put it in their name, simply for the sake of joining the rest of the pack. People can show their respect and sympathy in their own way, why must you force your standards onto others? Anyways, Jeff said it better than I did, so yeah, he summarize how I felt, well, he was slightly more upset than I was, but he pretty much said what I wanted to say...

Wow...curling is fun. Well, I knew it was gonna be fun, but never knew it would be this fun. Today I went curling with my fellowship, and like this is not the first time curling for me, probably second maybe third (i don't remember), so yeah, I knew the basics n stuff, which was a good head start for me cuz only 2 or 3 of the ppl from my fellowship have tried curling before. so anyways. when we got there, they kinda did some clinic since most of them were new at curling, which was kinda good too cuz i needed some "retuning" of my skills, if i had any to begin with. so we started actual games, and those "professionals" on tv make it seem so easy, like their draws are like exactly where they want it and stuff, while ours are like miles apart. regardless, we got a fun game going, though my team lost, it was still fun, everyone won cuz everyone had fun.

so the curling club prepared some dinner for us cuz it was part of the "package". before dinner, they had some riddle game where each table gets like a set to see who gets the most right and stuff. my table did ok, we got 4 wrongs, but oh wellz. dinner was not the best, but i expected it to be like that, its mass cooking, and its a curling club, so i didn't really expect a fancy dinner, just pizza and stuff. and then they had this 50/50 draw thing, and my table chipped in $8, and none of us won, which was a bummer. and then they had this table prize draw, and like 10 prizes in all, and none of us from our table won either, so that was kinda boring sitting there watching ppl collect their prizes, but oh well. curling is fun...itz alot more fun playing, but i enjoy watching it too...it sometimes make me wonder if i can be as good as those guys on tv....hmmmmm....

Now I must go back to my depressed state where I shelther myself from the rest of the world

=(

This has been a horrible week. I don't know if its just me or if its all of you, but I just don't seem to want to be at school. Yeah. I know I'm never in my "school mood", but this week its like different. Before I can still force myself to somehow listen, take notes, etc etc...but this week its been like just horrible. I have trouble just pretending to be listening, which isn't so hard usually cuz I end up day-dreaming. Anyways, I don't even know what point I'm trying to make right now, only thing I know is that I'm glad tomorrow is Friday. *sigh* I don't think its the lack of sleep either, considering I've been getting 7-8 hours nightly the past few days...

Btw, for those who has been asking me to TC pics *ahem* I will upload 'em all onto ImageStation slowly. I've already done the ones from COP, but you know 500 is a pretty high number of pictures to upload, so please be patience with me =)

My whole experience

I am totally speechless, I don't really know what to say or tell. I guess reflecting back on the past 4 months of worship practices, planning meetings, I have just so many things to be thankful for. Yet I still have so many regrets, the things I could've done, or should've done, and that is the part of me that is speaking right now.

I mean it was a honour to serve God at TC, but what I look back at it, did I really give it my all? Thinking back, I would have to say no, I didn't. There is so much things that people told me, shared with me, and just taught me prior to leading the worship team, from focus alot more on the prayer aspect, and worry less about the whole idea of mad practice. All these advice came from people who have done worship before, yet I have decided not to listen, not to stand firm during practices and just go with the flow. Experience means alot, yet I chose to do it my way, not entrusting the whole thing in His hand. Until the days of TC, my pride has gotten the better of me, believing that we can pull this out. It was so wrong of me to even think about that. All things is possible through Him, and nothing is possible without Him. How did I even begin to think that we can do it on our own? How could I have let this happen? Having opportunities infront of me to just truely share and pray together, and I choose to be soft-hearted and go with the flow. Especially with the entire team being new at this, the advices from past TC Worship leaders should be followed, and yet I have chosen to turn my back on them and go down my own path. Sorry God, I let You down. There is no excuses for any of this, I guess all I can do is let this be a life lesson to truely rely on God, no matter what we do. I have learned to trust You completely through this experience.
I guess Tim put it perfectly. "Go and enjoy this experience. Don't let this be like be all and end all. If it goes well, then give all praise to God, but if it doesn't go well, let it be a lesson and learn from it" (para-phrased)

Now the unhappy part is outta here, I guess I can really and truely give praise to God for what He has done this week. Yeah, things went wrong, sometimes I was flat (well...not only sometimes, most of the time), or we didn't come in at the right spot, whatever, but I really think that is not the point. I guess its not about what could have been better, but more like we did what God asked us to do and thats the best thing there is right? Mistakes were made, lessons are learned, but I think God truely used us and mold us this past 4 months. Our first "team meeting" occured at Jeff's house, where too much pasta was made, and Josh and his famous quote "Did your birds come in this colour or did you dye them that way". We know its an honest question Josh, and yes, it was funny, but hey man, this type of thing happens to everyone once in awhile, whats SO WORSE about it? (sorry rec =þ) From that day where I almost set Jeff's house on fire, pooling in his rec room, or trying to play street-fighter with the DDR pad, something inside me felt that our team was truely in God's master plan. At first, for those who doesn't know, Cindy and I was suppose to be leading the senior team (as in the other team: Melissa, Joyce, RenMin, Troy, Darren, Ernest), but it was switched for some unknown reason. Anyways, it was just amazing to see how God just molded our team to what we are now. We might (ARE) not be the perfect team with the perfect singers, or the perfect guitarist, but God used our talents to its fullest. He used the limited talents I have as a singer to sing praises to Him. He used Jeff's talent of singing and playing at the same time to its fullest. The list goes on and on for the entire team. He truely anonited each one of us on the team to our places, truely used us for his purposes. Throughout the four months, God has not only used us, He also broke us down and build us back up. Through-out these four months, He used each one of us to truely minister to one another, being an example to one another, and just having someone beside us who can truely walk with us in our spiritual walk. Words cannot justify in how thankful I am to God for how much He provided for us. Not only each other, but also Sam. Sam (THE Sam Wong) has helped as so much in regards to what worship really is. He brought our team together both musically and spiritually. His guidance throughout the four monthes cannot be replaced and will not be forgotten. His dedication to our team, the countless hours he spent with us youngins could've been spent else where, but his faithfulness to God's service brought him here, and he did it from his heart, and for that I am truely in awe. Sam has set an example for me to how to worship, but also as an example of a humble servant who does not take credit for what he does, but rather he gives all the glory to God.

Wow, this has been a long blog, and I'm not even done. This is meant to be kind of a personal note to God too, so basically you are reading into my heart through this blog, how I truely feel (and felt). I will blog more later. And yes, some parts seems like they weren't tied together very well, that is because my mind was just jumping so fast from place to place. I will finish later.

1 week!

wow!!! 1 week until TC!!! today's practice was amazing...i think our team has like grew so much musically and spiritually and whatever other words that ends of "ally". i still can't believe its 1 week and its TC...

Sunday, February 22, 2004

Countdown is on!

Wow, only 29 days until TC. i don't know if its good or bad that i don't feel any pressure...i think itz gonna cuz God is giving me peace and just trusting in Hi, yet i fell bad for not feeling the pressure because itz like the biggest thing of the year kinda for me. but anyways, yeah, today's practice was fun. even though jeff and season was away at their winter retreat, we made progress in most of our songs, we figured out on of our sets already, which is all cool... sam has really been a big help for us this year, without sam, i don't know if we will be at where we are at right now, just from the team chemistry to like when we practice, he've helped us so much in everything, so thanks sam (even though you probably will not be reading this =þ) today's practice was mostly strictly business, not much goofing around n stuff, except Caleb was here today. i think he drove cindy here and then stayed awhile to just listen to us...n we also talked about how at uni, you see like ppl who did tc worship the years before you, which was pretty cool...sam talked about how that was how he and tim met, and now they're "related"...*shivers*

peace!

Thursday, February 19, 2004

wow, i think i lost like 5 pounds this week, just from working out and playing badminton for like 2 hours everyday...anyways, my quads are kinda sore now, i guess its from me pushing it to run n stuff...like my practices are not just go and hit n play, but we do like 20 minutes of running, and 20 minutes of footwork etc, we only play real games for like the last 30 minutes of it. itz kinda good cuz we're getting in better shape so we can play better, but it kinda sux cuz itz tiring...but meh

i don't like school, itz so boring n pointless most of the time...i mean there are those odd lessons when u learn something, but like most of the time u're just sitting there listening to the teacher lecture. ESPECIALLY english class, i mean, what do you learn in english?!?! *sigh* i've been falling asleep in english, but i can't really sleep cuz like i'm near the front...so thats bad, very bad, especially when i have to fight to keep my eyes open *yawn* just thinking about english class makes me want to sleep

anyways, so our 3rd issue of Pyros is out!!!!! For those who don't know what it is, it is basically a magazine writen by high school teenagers. the goal of the magazine is to reach non-christians so they have a more "secular format" thing that they can read regarding christianity, and we planned to have those magazines reach non-christians by asking christian fellowships at different school to hand them out. if you ask "why pyros?", here is why. Pyros, is short for pyromania, which basically means the action of setting things on fire, and our theme is pyros because we want to set high school on fire on God =) we need all your help in this ministry!!! not only prayerz, but just taking copies and giving it to your non-christian friends, and not only just by giving it to them, but check up on them, see if they have any questions or anything... so yeah, if you want to know more, contact me. OHOH!!! and our website will be available in a few weeks, i believe March 1st is our launch date, and the address will be www.pyros.ca!!! praise God.

Sunday, February 15, 2004

will post later

argh...i'm too lazy to post something now, so i guess i'll just make a blog about what happened today tomorrow. anyways, so come back tmr to read.

peace!

AutoShow was cool!

Wow, today was such a great day! I woke up so early in the morning, and was still kinda tired. I don't know why, but lately it seems that I've been having trouble sleeping. It feels like its my pillow, but I just wake up still tired even when I get like 10 hours of sleep.

So enough about my sleep, so I woke up, and my friend called, and we decided to leave for the auto show at 10:15. the subway ride was BOOOORING. Anyways, so when we got on the subway, me and my friend started looking for something to do, so we decided to find a Metro to read. We found one, and I started flipping through it, then I realized it was yesterday's paper! So we walked up the aisle to where we found the first paper, and just at that point someone picked up the other Metrot that was there! And that was TODAY'S Metro. So we ended up reading through yesterday's Metro. But it was fun though, because we found someone who wrote words into the crosswords that made no sense, and we found the horoscope writer can't write a sentence properly, it was like so grammactically incorrect. So reading and making fun of those things got us to Bloor/Yonge. So the ride from Bloor/Yonge to Union was pretty normal, nothing special because it was so short.

Now onto the Auto Show, this will be a long one, so get yourself a drink and a sandwich, you'll be here for awhile. So when we got there, there was this one little part before the skywalk, but after the coffee time where they decorated the place into like a formal hall entrance. With red carpet, soft music playing and stuff. I reached into my bag looking for my camera to put in my pocket, when I found a bag of OLD cotton candy at the bottom of one of the compartments in my bag. Now, I must tell you, it was totally gross when I took it out. It is like...4 months old! When we walked into the Convention centre, my friend and I decided to go to the South Building first, just because that was where the U Fair was. So we walked by this dude that was selling the AutoShow program, and immediately he reminded of those ppl that sells programs outside every Blue Jays game. "Program here! Get your game day program here for only 5 dollars." So anyways, I bought one, and I tried sucking my friend into paying half of it cause he didn't buy one but was sharing it, but it was unsuccessful...urgh...we continued to make our way down, and we saw this sign "Paul Tracy signing autograph"..and I was like "WHAT?! LET'S GO". I'm a big PT fan, I love his style of driving and he keeps his aggressiveness even when other drivers will be defensive to protect their lead, and he is not afraid to speak his mind, but thats another story. So as we were progressive towards the autograph signing, Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, and National Post all handed us a newspaper. So when we got in line (we were 7th in line), me and my friend started going through the sports section, looking for a picture with PT in it. Yet none of them had it. So I looked into my AutoShow Program, and there was a page advertising for the Molson Indy, so I got PT to sign that, while at the same time the hostess was handing out a special section of the T-Star made for Autoshow with PT on it. Anyways, after we got our autographs, we stroll into the Classics Car Collection Area, where we saw all these old school cars, but that wasn't really exciting. For those who know cars, you will know the McLaren F1 is like one of the best cars in the world. So we started our quest to find it. So we wondered down the the Benz section, and guess what, there is this thingy that turns the car 360 degrees with the McLaren on it! After taking like 10 pictures, I decided to just go chill inside other cars, SL500, BMW 325, CLK 320, Escalade, etc etc. We wondered around a hall filled with Nissan, BMWs, Mercedes-Benzs, Mini-Coppers, Subarus, Escalades, Chervolets and VWs for like hours. And that was only 1/3 of the entire exhibition!

Now we went over to the North building, where all the Hondas, Acuras, Hyundais, even a few Ferrari and Lambos! More pictures, I even got to sit in one of the Ferrari! But since it was a special favour, I was only allowed to take a pic with me outside it. Oh wells. So when we were all done in the North building, it was 4!!!! And WE DIDN'T EAT LUNCH YET!!! We waited for the shuttle bus, so we can go back to the convention centre, go back through the skywalk to Union station so we can eat Harveys....yummmm...Big Harv......So while we were standing there, waiting for the shuttle bus, I came up with this stupid "slogan", so I'll tell you how it goes "This car show is like when girls go shopping. Except this time the cars are like girl's clothes, the guys are now the girls, and the commodity is 100-1000 times more expensive". So there was a couple of ppl waiting for the bus with us, and they cracked up too. Which was pretty hiliarious because I didn't know they were there.

So after "lunch", which was at like 4, we went to the last part of the show, inside the SkyDome. So we got in, and there was this sidewalk sale type thing all along the side, ppl selling Oakley look-alikes, etc etc. So we got down to the show floor, which was the least interesting one of them all simply because the cars there are more common ones, its where like the family cars are displayed, or the more expensive sedans, so it felt more like a showcase for ppl to buy cars rather than exotic and hot cars. So we got bored and went back to the South building, where we took more shots of the SLR, and then we started looking for cars where we rest our feet, we were tired after 7 hours of walking and standing. Eventually, we made our way out.

Hope I didn't bore you all too much with my adventures/events at the AutoShow =) I got some nice pictures though. So yeah, its all good.

Peace!
